"I'll have you know that I have yet to make a fool of myself. You are far too young, and I have had far too little wine to truly be a fool this early in the day."

He chuckled, returning to his seat, looking to the giggling girl with a hint of enjoyment.

"And I think you'll find everyone sings at one point or another. You just never know when."

She laughed and shook her head. "Well tehn perhaps you need more wine?"

She rolled her eyes and had another sip of sider. " I sing." she said. " Just not like that."

He looked to her, laughing softly.

"Now, now, Miss Elena... You've got a few more years of schooling before you can talk to me like that."

He smiled, obviously being silly and not intending to be perverted in any way.

"And how, exactly, do you sing?"

She grinned. " I'll have to remeber that then won't I."

" I...ehhh...I'm classicly trained. So Opera mostly." she shrugged. " Sometimes jazz."

Simon chooses to glance over her first comment and then grins widely as she mentions jazz.

"Oh really? Jazz, you say? And yet you wouldn't sing on a stage... That's not much of a jazz singer..."

She shrugged again. " I don't really like it. It made me feel like a tool to my mother. Someone to keep her guest busy when they came along."

He thought for a moment, nodding.

"I guess that's one way to look at it. But I always figured, if you've got talents, you should use 'em to make you happy. I just happen to find singing to be very therapeutic..."

She laughed. " It wasn't a talent. It is something I learned. I had to pick a hobby that would be usefull in my, to quote ' future role as a wife and hostess'." she rolled her eyes. " At the time singing seemed so much easier. It still does really, but I've never enjoyed it that much."

He looked to her, surveying her a bit.

"Well, I'll tell you what... If you're ever looking for a summer job, or some extra cash during school weekends, I could always use a singing waitress. And I guarantee you, people wouldn't think you're just some show-wife or hostess.

Something I guess they didn't tell you is how jazz can move you and the people around you. It's a living thing. When someone channels the jazz, they become a conduit to the souls of the people around 'em."

He grins, laughing a bit.

"Plus, it'd be nice to have someone around to help out who's fun company. And apparently you're on good terms with Silas, so that makes it even easier..."

She laughed. " Maybe. I didn't really want to leave Hogwarts for the summer to that would be a way to persuade my mother."

She grinned. " Why don't you emply him? I'm sure he can sing and wait tables, but I do know I'm much prettier..."

"Oh, Silas will be around, but waitresses just have the uncanny knack of getting patrons to buy more. And if you're both around, I might be able to force you guys to duet."

He smiled, nodding.

"Well, the offer is always on the table..."

"I'll think about it, thank you very much." she smilled, sipping at her drink.

" I could live at teh castle too, but do you think you will get more buissness in the summer with the students gone?"

"Actually, I'm hoping I'll get busier. I want to try and market this area as a secluded night club, and hopefully classy witches and wizards from around Britain will pop in for the evenings..."

He shrugged.

"Well... I can dream, can't I?"

She laughed. " It sounds like a good plan. Did you think of putting an add in the paper? Also, why only Brittan? There's all of Europe at your fingertips."

He grins a bit, nodding.

"Well, I said Britain, but really, all of Europe is welcome. And I hadn't really thought about the paper... I'm not really familiar with European papers, though. Isn't the Quibbler a big one?"

Hey everyone. This is the first time I've been able to get on a computer for more than 3 minutes in the past month or so. I'm at school right now, and I don't have a computer at home.

The hard drive on my computer if fried and my parents wont let me use their computer (cause they suck!) I apologize to anyone who may have needed me, and should be getting my hard drive fixed within the next month.
