He sprinted into the ball late, his black wool cloak flapping behind him, his wand concealed in his garb. There was something he was going to do today, and he was going to do it, no matter what.

As thoughts of his plan's results swam through his little head, the first-year Gryffindor laughed at how he imagined the rest of the students and faculty would react.

He stood in a place far away from Naomi. No need for his sister to stop him now.

Cat made her way to the twitchy first year. “Hello there, may I ask what you are up too? Clutching your wand so, in the middle of a dance.” She stood arms in front of her as she waited for an answer.

Elisabeth spotted the little Gryffindor, sly grin spread across her gaunt face. Stalking over to him after Catherine, the blond surveyed the boy.

"Knowing this one, he's about to do something stupid." Arms crossed over her chest, eyes drilling into his.

"I don't know," the guilty boy said in the most innocent voice he can muster, which was not saying much.

Yeah right.

"I'm trying to find my sister and ... transfigure her a better dress."

He flashed them a guilty smile.

Elisabeth chose to ignore her house mates comment, instead directing her unpleasant composition towards the Gryffindor.

Sneer spread across her pale face. "Do you take me for stupid, boy?" She said harshly, pale eyes glinting down at him.

She smiled, eyes full of laughter. "Really, well, that is quite nice of you. But I don't think she would like that. Perhaps you could point her out to me? And we could go to her? Or, you could put you wand away nad we would leave you alnoe. Either way, if you don't smarten up, I'm going to have to go get Professor Snape."

Hermione walked over to Kastor and plucked the wand from his tight fist. "You wont be doing anything with your wand." she said, looking at Kastor. "Your sister will have your wand until the ball is over." she said, walking off.

"Yeah," he replied to both of the Slytherins, sounding unsure/guilty. "And no, I can't find my sister. That's why I'm still looking."

Suddenly (in his view, as he wasn't paying attention), Hermione came over and took possession of his wand.

"Hey," complained the first-year, "come back! It's my wand!"

He turned to look at the Slytherins.

"Bye bye Slythe-weenies," he said, about to take off.

Smirk spread across her face, frail hand reaching out and firmly grasping the boy's shoulder to prevent him from leaving.

"Not so tough are you now? Hmm?" Words were cool, though a subtle trace of amusement could be detected.

He came walking up in a hurry. Two Slytherin girls and what looked like a firstie. Who was not a Slytherin, from what he could tell. When he reached them, he spoke. "Cat, Miss Ostheim. Who's this charming young firstie you've got here, and what are his crimes?" he said, the note of teasing clear in his voice.

The first-year tried to take off Elisabeth's hand from his shoulder with no avail.

"Get off me!" he shoulded in a voice several pitches higher than her sister's, "Get off me or I'll tell my sister."

He vainly tried to dance and jig Elisabeth's grip, and when that didn't work, he futilly tried to push her hand off his shoulder.

He looked at Osprey, who just entered.

Oh. Rats.

Elisabeth was quickly becoming bored with taunting the Gryffindork.

"I'm not afraid of your sister, dear." Her hand dropped, she didn't much care for touching the boy. The pale girl's head turned towards the Ravenclaw.

"The boy's been slinking around trying to insinuate who knows what kind of trouble."

"You are who knows what kind of trouble, Miss Ostheim. That's been proven, repeatedly," he said in a rather cold tone of voice.

"Now, as for you, sir," he said, looking at the boy. "You will proceed, with me, to somewhere else. Prefereably, somewhere that you can find a number of Gryffindors, who can teach you why you don't pick fights with older students from other houses. Especially older Slytherins. They often know tricks you don't, and many of them will hit you before you know it's coming," he said, placing a hand on the boy's other shoulder, and leading him away.

"No," the first-year replied stubbornly, "let me go."

He tried to get rid of Osprey's grip, but it was no use. He had no choice but to follow.

Hey everyone. This is the first time I've been able to get on a computer for more than 3 minutes in the past month or so. I'm at school right now, and I don't have a computer at home.

The hard drive on my computer if fried and my parents wont let me use their computer (cause they suck!) I apologize to anyone who may have needed me, and should be getting my hard drive fixed within the next month.
