In what potion does one use Trichostema brachiatum, and is it an animal or vegetable ingredient?

Pomegranate is used in the Strengthening Solution. Discuss one myth that supports this usage.
((With a link to your source, so I know you're not making it up. ))

[title:92d26f2ade="The Rules:"]I will post a question that requires a very short answer -- probably the name of a book, potion, ingredient, or person; possibly an attribute of one of these things. You will come up with an answer. You must PM the answers to me, and all correct answers recieved within the time limit will gain their house a number of points determined by the difficulty of the question.[/title:92d26f2ade] _________________ "Of course, in a novel, people's hearts break, and they die, and that is the end of it; and in a story this is very convenient. Hey everyone. This is the first time I've been able to get on a computer for more than 3 minutes in the past month or so. I'm at school right now, and I don't have a computer at home.
The hard drive on my computer if fried and my parents wont let me use their computer (cause they suck!) I apologize to anyone who may have needed me, and should be getting my hard drive fixed within the next month.
